The Standing Committee of BMC awarded road construction and repair contracts worth around Rs 620 crore to various companies in Maharashtra.

Of the total contract worth Rs 181 crore was awarded to RPS Infra Projects. Besides the other firms who have been awarded contracts are Mahavir Roads (contract worth: Rs 164 crore), R K Madani & Co (Rs 141 crore) and Preeti Constructions (Rs 134 crore). Some of the stretches include Bhulabhai Desai Road (better known as Warden Road), the Babulnath Road and Sir Phirozshah Mehta Road in Fort. However, details of the contracts will be drafted soon.
