1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

CMRL invites bids for construction of elevated viaducts

The Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) has invited tenders from eligible companies for the Chennai Metro project under two packet system for the following works:-

Contract No & name of work 1: ECV02-02 Design and construction of elevated viaduct from CH: 15,738 mtrs to 20,900 mtrs on corridor-2 (including viaducts at Ashok Nagar-KK Nagar and SIDCO stations but excluding 600 mtrs of viaducts at Alandur Station) for a length of 4,562 mtrs. Tender

Contract No & name of work 2: ECV12-03 Design and construction of elevated viaduct from CH: 13840 mtrs to 18,410 mtrs on corridor-1 (including viaducts at Little Mount, Guidy, Alandur and OTA stations and 600 mtrs of viaducts on corridor-2 between CH: 19,578 mtrs to CH: 20178 mtrs) for a length of 5170 mtrs plus double track tie line between corridor-1 and corridor-2. The contract has to be executed in 24 months time. The last date for submission of bid documents is 16 October 2009.
