Sudhir Vasudeva, Chairman and Managing Director, ONGC, on 21 October 2012 inaugurated new platform and processing facility at replacing Bombay High North (BHN) offshore platform.
The company has spent Rs 6,060 crore for the new platform. The new platform and facility has been named as Mumbai High North (MHN) and it will lead to a production of 55 million tonnes of oil and 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas by 2030. Due to the facility, the hydrocarbon recovery factor will increase from 24 per cent to 40 per cent. This will increase the oil production from the Mumbai High fields by 9,000 bpd. The current production is 2,06,000 bpd.
