Sesa Goa is likely to decide on the capex plan for the Phase I of its Liberia iron ore mining project by January 2013.
So far, the company has completed over 31,000 mtrs of drilling at the Liberia's Western Clusters project site. Under the Phase I, the company is likely to produce 10 million tpa of iron ore per from the project which can be raised further to 30 million tpa in the Phase II. First shipment from the project will be delivered in 2013-13 as announced earlier. Work on the Phase II is expected to commence in 2016-17.
