US-based mattresses maker, Spring Air, will invest Rs 100 crore in India. As part of its expansion plan, it will open 100 standalone showrooms across the country in the next two years.
The expansion will be completed in two phases in the country. The first phase will comprise setting up manufacturing plants in India for timely distribution of the products. The second phase includes showcasing the full product range through the exclusive showrooms.
Till date, the company has 30 standalone showrooms in India. The new showrooms will be company-owned and operated. Spring Air has targeted Metro and Tier-I towns for the upcoming showrooms.
In October 2014, the company launched its fourth manufacturing plant in Kolkata, West Bengal, and eyes upto 25 per cent revenue growth in this fiscal year.
Spring Air has four manufacturing facilities in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore and also sells through 300 retailers across the country.
