Union Civil Aviation minister inaugurates new airport at Bathinda

Union Civil Aviation minister, Ashok Gajapathi Rajuin, inaugurated the new civil air terminal at Bathinda airport in the state of Punjab, on 11 December, 2016.

The minister also inaugurated the first flight by Air India Regional, for the Delhi-Bathinda-Delhi sector.

The Union government has also approved an airport at Adampur, while the state government is also seeking approval for airports at Pathankot and Ludhiana.

The Union government has accorded sanction to the Delhi-Amritsar-Birmingham flight.
