Aurobindo drug secures USFDA nod
24 March 2011: Aurobindo Pharma has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its Famciclovir tablets.
Famciclovir tablets are the generic version of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp's Famvir tablets. They are used for the treatment of recurrent mucocutaneous herpes simples infections in HIV-infected patients and the suppression of recurrent genital herpes in immuno-competent patients.
