Biocon joins hands with US firm Pacific Biomarkers

29 December 2011: Clinigene International, a subsidiary of Biocon, and Pacific Biomarkers, a Washington based company, has signed a collaborative clinical research agreement to address the speciality biomarker and high-end clinical trial laboratory needs of the global pharmaceutical and biotech industry.

Biomarker is a biochemical feature or facet that can be used to measure the progress of disease or the effects of treatment. Pacific Biomarkers is a recognised player in providing speciality biomarkers and clinical diagnostic assay services to discovery and development-based life science enterprises. An assay is a procedure in molecular biology for testing or measuring the activity of a drug or biochemical in an organism or organic sample.
