Cape Middle East receives contracts with BAPCO, Bahrain

12 January 2011: Cape’s Northern Gulf operations are proud to have been awarded a five-year surface preparation and coating services contract by The Bahrain Petroleum Company B.S.C (“BAPCO”) worth $18 million. Cape has further secured an $8 million, three-year extension of an insulation contract with BAPCO.

Cape will provide surface preparation and coating services on storage tanks and in process units, in marine locations and other areas operated by BAPCO. BAPCO is wholly owned by the Government of Bahrain and owns a 250,000 barrel-a-day refinery, storage facilities for more than 14 million barrels, a marketing terminal, and a marine terminal for its petroleum products.
