Dow to commence production in Thailand
30 May 2011: Dow Chemical Company, a material supplier, will start commercial production at its new Rayong Province, Thailand specialty polyolefin elastomers plant on 1 June 2011.
A result of Dow's JV with The Siam Cement Group (SCG), the new plant is designed to add dedicated capacity to meet growing worldwide demand for elastomer products. The facility will increase Dow's global capacity for polyolefin elastomers to over 800 kilometric tonne, or nearly two billion pounds.
