Glenmark gets USFDA approval for hypertension tablets
5 August 2011: Glenmark Generics Inc received US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for Verapamil tablets, used for treating hypertension.
US health regulator approved the extended Verapamil release tablets in the strengths of 120 mg and 180 mg. The extended-release tablets are generics of Isoptin SR tablets of Ranbaxy. The company had earlier received approval on the 240 mg dosage in September 2009.
