Hansen expands food colour production facilities
15 April 2011: Denmark based Chr Hansen has expanded two food colour production plants in South America, and Europe to cater to the growing demand for natural colours in the global food industry.
The company has inaugurated a new and improved colour production facility in Lima, Peru and the plant, which will be a key production and sourcing platform in South America will produce red carmine colour for various food applications.
The production plant in Avedoere, Denmark, which includes facilities for production of natural colours, has been upgraded to meet customers' demands as well as optimise the energy consumption. The plant specialises in production of natural colors including yellow, red, green and white shades.
