IHG launches property in Portugal
16 July 2011: The InterContinental Hotels Group has opened The InterContinental Porto-Palacio das Cardosas in Porto, Portugal.
The hotel is a renovated 200 year old palace and is the first international luxury hotel in the historical city centre. It has 105 bedrooms and 16 suites while facilities include Café Astoria, an outdoor terrace café, a fine-dining restaurant serving Portuguese cuisine and a bar on the front façade which overlooks Liberdade Square. The hotel is designed by Alex Kravetz, a Russian archtitect, according to the company release.
