Mitsui OSK Lines offer two services
30 April 2011: Japan's Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) is likely to split its present NKX service to the Indian sub-continent into two.
At present, the service connects Singapore with Nhava Sheva (west coast of India) and Karachi (Pakistan). The proposed services, to be known as NCX and KPX, will link separately China and India and Singapore and India and Pakistan. The port rotation for NCX will be: Shanghai- Da Chan Bay – Hong Kong – Singapore – Nhava Sheva – Port Kelang – Singapore – Shanghai and that for KPX service will be Singapore- Pipavav- Karachi-Colombo-Penang-Port Kelang-Singapore. NCX will be MOL's first direct service linking China's Shanghai and Shenzhen with India's Nhava Sheva.
In all, seven container ships, each of 2,500-TEU capacity, will be deployed on the two loops — four on NCX and three on KPX. The first vessel for the NCX loop is expected to arrive in Shanghai on 19 May 2011.
