Molycorp Awarded EPC Contract to KBR
26 July 2011: KBR has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by a wholly owned subsidiary of Molycorp to build a new Chlor-Alkali plant as part of Molycorp’s Project Phoenix.
The $781 million (approx Rs 3475.45 crore) project is to reactivate the company’s rare earth oxides (REO) mine, and expand and modernize its flagship rare earth facility in Mountain Pass, Calif.
