Northrop Grumman Awarded in E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Contracts
9 August 2011: Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded $795 million (approx Rs 3537.75 crore) in contracts by the U.S. Navy for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Program.
Under this contract, firm-fixed price $761 million (approx Rs 3386.5crore) contract, prime contractor Northrop Grumman will manufacture and deliver five low-rate initial production (LRIP), Lot 3, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft to the U.S. Navy and the long lead materials for five LRIP, Lot 4, E-2D Advanced Hawkeyes. The company also received a $34 million (approx Rs 151.3 crore) modification to a previously awarded contract for the procurement of one additional E-2D Advanced Hawkeye LRIP, Lot 2, aircraft.
