Siemens Wins Solar PV Power Plant Order In Italy

23 June 2010: Siemens Energy has bagged an order from Ital Green Energy, a subsidiary of Marseglia, for a 15MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Italy.

The San Donaci solar power plant in the Apulia region is to be connected to the Italian grid by late 2010 and will then supply clean electricity to around 5,500 Italian households.

Besides plant design and engineering, Siemens will provide inverters, transformers, medium-voltage equipment as well as the monitoring and control system, and will also erect the plant.

Siemens partner will be Italiana Costruzioni 2000, a Marseglia company, which will be in charge of all the civil works, and supply and erection of the support structures.
