Siemens to invest in Denmark

16 June 2011: Siemens plans to invest over Euro 150 million (approx Rs 952.5 crore) in Denmark to further expand its global wind power business by 2013.

Two new research and development centres will to be set up in Brande and Aalborg there. Siemens will match the capacity of its Danish production plants to the rising demand for offshore wind turbines in Europe. In 2010, Siemens opened two new wind turbine production plants in China and the US. Further production facilities are planned in the UK, Canada, Russia and India.
