Tullow establishes Takoradi Polytechnic training centre in Ghana

9 November 2011: The Government of Ghana’s goal to see more locals trained with necessary skills related to the oil and gas sector has been given a boost with the Jubilee Technical Training Centre being established at the Takoradi Polytechnic.

The centre, being funded by Tullow Oil and Jubilee partners will cost $3.5 million (approx Rs 17.15 crore) and is due to be completed in eleven months. It is hoped the centre will create world class human resource in-line with both local and foreign demand in the oil and gas sector. Work has already begun for the construction to commence.
