Wipro Infra plans new unit in China
1 June 2010: Wipro Infrastructure Engineering has signed an agreement with Wujin Hi-tech Industrial Zone (WIZ) in Changzhou, China, to set up a large manufacturing facility for the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders.
Wipro Infrastructure Engineering is an independent manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders. The unit to be set up at Changzhou will be its ninth global manufacturing location and the first one in China.
The proposed plant will manufacture high-pressure precision hydraulic cylinders and tipping systems for operations such as CNC machining, robotic welding, and induction hardening. An R&D facility will be established to enable the centre to design, develop and validate hydraulic cylinders for various industrial applications.
