Work commences on Schar’s New Jersey facility
25 February 2011: Schar, an European gluten free food manufacturer has started construction of its first US manufacturing facility, in Logan Township, New Jersey.
The new $15 million (approx Rs 68.25 crore) 50,000-sq ft facility is expected to create about 50 jobs. The manufacturer of gluten free breads, rolls, pasta, cookies, crackers and frozen meals already markets its products in the United States; Schar USA was incorporated in 2007.
