WorleyParsons receives contract award for nuclear power plant in Turkey
18 August 2011: WorleyParsons has reached agreement with Akkuyu NGS Elektrik Üretim Anonim Şirketi to provide consultancy services during the preconstruction phase of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey. The construction permit is scheduled to be obtained by April 2013.
The project company was established pursuant to the agreement signed on 12 May 2010 between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Russian Federation on Cooperation in Relation to the Construction and Operation of a Nuclear Power Plant at the Akkuyu Site in the Republic of Turkey.
