32 FDI proposals cleared

November 27, 2008: The Finance Minister P Chidambaram on the recommendations of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board has cleared 32 proposals which will fetch Rs.845.70 crore investment to the country.

The proposals that have been cleared include Oriental Structural Engineers plan to set up a holding company, which will attract highest FDI of Rs.450 crore, Television Eighteen India's proposal to launch three regional business news channels, Dr. Oetker India investment proposal worth Rs.110.40 crore and Oil India's proposal.

The finance ministry has rejected proposals made by US-based Dow Jones & Company, Nagarjuna Construction, Inuit US Holdings Inc and Delight Investments of Sinagapore.
