DRDO plans nano foundry in Madras varsity
14 August 2010: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) plans to set up a nano foundry in collaboration with the University of Madras National Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NCNN) in Tamil Nadu.
The proposed foundry will help convert knowledge into products. Earlier, a team of DRDO scientists had held discussions with the faculty and governing council members of the NCNN on possible areas of collaboration. University of Madras sought the help of DRDO officials to make the MSc Nanotechnology curriculum more practical and industry-oriented.
