Equipment for Tata's Kalinganagar plant soon
23 February 2010: Tata Steel, which is setting up a six million tpa integrated steel plant at Kalinganagar in Jajpur district of Orissa, expects the arrival of equipment and machinery worth Rs 500 crore for the project by March 2010.
Till date, 11 consignments of equipment and machinery including blast furnace, sinter plant, electricals and Steel Melting Shop (SMS) worth Rs 200 crore for Tata Steel's Kalinganagar project have arrived in India.
The Steel Melting Shop (SMS) has arrived at Kalinganagar. The SMS for the project has been supplied by SMS Demag of Germany.
