Jayadeva Cardiac Centre to launch unit in Mysore
13 August 2010: B S Yeddyurappa, Chief Minister of Karnataka is likely to inaugurate a super-specialty 75-bedded unit of the government- run Jayadeva Cardiac Centre (JCC) at K R Hospital in Mysore.
The centre will have an out-patient department, ICU and laboratory, built at a cost of Rs 8 crore. The doctors at the centre will have online access (telemedicine) with the hospital in Bengaluru for interaction and seeking opinions. Modern cardiac care will be available for the poor and middle-class patients of the Mysore region at subsidised cost. The hi-tech cardiac care branch has been built on 19,000 sq ft on the out-patient block of Krishna Rajendra Hospital, attached to Mysore Medical College and Research Institute.
