Al Habtoor in partnership agreement with Hilton

18 October 2011: UAE-based Al Habtoor Group Has signed a partnership deal with Hilton Worldwide to develop Dubai's first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property on the Palm Jumeirah, and convert two of its hotels in Beirut into the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. Work on the project began in 2007, but it was put on hold the following year due to the global economic crisis. According to the agreement, Hilton is to develop the 324-room Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, which is scheduled to open in late 2013.
