Aldar awards Yas Mall construction contract

2 December 2011:  Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's leading property development, investment and management company has awarded main construction contract for Yas Mall to Six Construct. Yas Mall, a major retail development on Yas Island is Emirate's leading leisure and entertainment destination. The appointment follows the completion of design work and the submission of technical proposals earlier this year.

Scheduled for completion in Q4 2013, Yas Mall will feature 235,000m2 of retail trading area housing a hypermarket, concept stores, high street and high-end fashion outlets, a multiplex cinema and family entertainment centre as well as many of the world's leading retail, restaurant and leisure brands. Leasing at Yas Mall is already well advanced with over 40% now let, and advanced negotiations well under way with a number of major international brands.
