Arab road link plan gets nod
26 February 2010: The Arab Transport Ministers have approved a road link plan between the Arab states which will be submitted to the next Arab Summit in Libya.
The approval came at the conclusion of their extraordinary meeting at the Arab League headquarters on 24 February 2010. Among the recommendations submitted to the ministerial council was establishment of a mechanism to finance the road project. The fund will be raised from the private sector participation, Arab financial institutions and Arab, regional and international funds.
