Bahrain Government plans infrastructure projects

19 January 2012: The Bahrain Government is planning infrastructure projects worth BD110m ($291.7m) in the pipeline in the kingdom, with tenders for more than 100 projects set to be floated soon. While 81 contracts have been awarded till December-end, another 104 are in the tendering process. The ministry issued 22 tenders for roads worth BD56m last year, 37 for sanitation projects worth BD43m and 22 worth BD13m in the construction sector.
