Bahrain Ministry of Works awards tenders for construction projects

The Ministry of Works awarded 12 tenders in August 2011, seven of which costing BD2.295.000m, and 5 others costing BD1.650.921m.

The four tenders covered construction projects, the first project included electromechanical maintenance works, and plumping and sanitary engineering works at 30 schools, at a cost of BD161.775. The project is expected to complete by 2013. Another project included electromechanical and health maintenance works at the National Monument in Sakhir, in addition to air conditioning works, at a cost of BD50.091.000.

The third BD126.500 project included a number of revamping building 11, belonging to the Sanitary Engineering Operation & Maintenance Directorate in Salmabad, while the fourth construction project included construction and infrastructure works in Hawar Jetty at a cost of BD311.343.
