Bahrain mulls mosque revamp deal
31 December 2011: A major contract worth $9.5 mn (approx Rs.51 crore) to rebuild a major mosque on a 10,000 sq mtr plot in Umm Al Hassam was signed at the Saudi Embassy in Bahrain. While signing the contract, Saudi Ambassador Abdul Mohsen bin Fahad Al Mark said the King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Mosque project reflects outstanding Bahrain-Saudi ties, strengthened thanks to the directives of the two countries' wise leaderships. Work on the contract will last for 20 months.
