DHL Global Forwarding plans ocean freight link

11 January 2012: DHL Global Forwarding has planned a new ocean freight link from Italy to Kuwait. The new less than container load (LCL) direct service is scheduled on a weekly basis and has improved the transit time from 32 to 27 days, avoiding transhipment at the Dubai hub. Kuwait imports a wide range of goods from Italy - everything from mechanical machinery, construction materials and mineral products, to fashion, food and consumer goods. Demand for these products is set to rise further as Kuwait continues to emerge as a key player in the region and, as a result, we expect the improved transit times from Italy to have a real and immediate impact on our customers in Kuwait.
