Dubai airport's Concourse Three on schedule

26 February 2010: Dubai International Airport's Concourse Three is progressing as per the schedule to open its gates at the end of 2012.

A part of the Terminal Three complex, upon completion, C3 is likely to become the world's first Airbus A380-dedicated facility of its size. Designed for the exclusive use of Emirates, it will increase the airport's total capacity from the current 60 million passengers per annum to 75 million passengers.

Although C3 will be similar to Concourse Two in terms of appearance, it would have a smaller footprint - it will be 90 mtrs wide and 645 mtrs long, with a total built-up area of 528,000 sq mtrs.
