Dubai plans expansion of psychiatric hospital

9 September 2011: Dubai plans expansion of Al Amal Hospital, the psychiatric hospital with an expected cost of Dhs600m. The 80-bed hospital which is housed in a building that is over 35-years-old has been housing patients double the capacity it can handle for the past several years. The Ministries of Health and Public Works have adopted the idea of the basic design and engineering drawings for the new project with a capacity of 272 beds on a total area of 35,000 sq mtres.
