Elaf Bank to set up a branch

17 June 2011: Bahrain-based Elaf Bank, licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, has been granted a license by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia to open a branch office under the Malaysia International Islamic Finance initiative in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The bank has paid-up the capital of $200 million (approx.20 crore) to operate as a wholesale Islamic bank.

Elaf Bank at present provides a wide range of financial services to clients related to investment banking including fund-raising advisory, mergers and acquisitions and asset management and treasury and capital markets such as liquidity management, foreign exchange, investment, structured products and derivatives
