Fata EPC selects Teejan Trading and Contracting as sub-contractor for aluminium plant

7 October 2011: Italy's Fata EPC has selected Oman's Teejan Trading and Contracting Co to be the sub-contractor for the Sultanate's largest downstream aluminium plant. The Italian firm had won the $300m (approx Rs 1,470 crore) turnkey EPC contract for Oman Aluminium Rolling Co's aluminium rolling plant in Sohar last September. The plant will serve the aluminium food container and food preservation foil markets, along with material for the automotive heat exchanger and air conditioning markets. The first production coils are targeted for August 2013.
