French firm plans to set up Bahrain plant
21 November 2011: Bahrain-based Al Zayani Investments and French mineral conglomerate Imerys have teamed up to build a new production plant in Bahrain. The joint venture will produce white fused aluminium oxide, a fine grain used for abrasives, refractories, sandblasting and thermal coating, for the global market. The new Imerys JV plant will be the company's first in the Gulf region.
