GAM floats tenders for second package of parks project

26 February 2010: Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has reportedly completed the first package of King Abdullah II Parks project and has tendered the second package which consists of an area of 1,78,000 sq mtrs.

The first package included installing fences, gates, water harvesting and gray water tanks, and other repairing works in the location.

The second package will include founding parking lots for about 900 cars on 63,000 sqm, sports area on 79,000 sq mtrs, a football playground with international measures and stadiums, slopes for skating, lanes for bike cycling and running, and playgrounds for tennis, basketball, and volleyball.

The main pathway will be constructed on 20,000 sq mtrs, and the main pathways surrounding the hill, and a retaining wall adjacent to the pathway, all shall be built on a space area of 13,000 sqm, not to forget the buildings of the sports services, public facilities and electricity services units.
