GCC airlines to operate domestic flights
16 August 2011: Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) permits Gulf airlines to provide transport services between the kingdom's cities, denying an early media report which claimed that GACA will not license GCC carriers to operate domestic flights in Saudi Arabia. The opening of Saudi skies to Gulf airlines will improve domestic air transport services and boost the kingdom's social and economic development.
