Google launches music store soon

16 November 2011: Google Inc., which is set to launch its long-rumoured music store tomorrow, is still feverishly working to sign up major music firms to take on numerous competing digital music services. The internet giant is close to signing a deal with Universal Music Group, the world's largest record company. The deal will allow Google to sell digital downloads of Universal's vast catalogue of music and offer a licensed cloud service that lets users tap into their music collection from any web browser.
