Gulf Air and Emirates plans to operate within Saudi

24 January 2012 : Dubai's Emirates Airline and Bahraini carrier, Gulf Air are to bid to operate domestic and international flights in the kingdom. This follows the recent decision by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to award licenses to non-national airlines to operate flights in this country. Currently, Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) dominates the local market.
