Iran 'to integrate power grid with Europe'

3 November 2011: Iranian power generation, transmission and distribution management firm (TAVANIR) has said the country's power grid will integrate with Europe's. Europe became interested in the project after an announcement by Iran's energy ministry at the beginning of October about the privatisation of the country's electricity sector. The company did not specify the technology to be used to connect the two different systems.
