Islamic banking open to all banks in Oman

12 October 2011: The central bank of Oman (CBO) has said conventional banks operating in the country can offer Shari'ah-based financial services, provided the apex lender's approval has been obtained. With approval from the CBO, all commercial banks operating in Oman can open windows for the purpose of Islamic banking.
