Jeddah Islamic Port to award contracts
25 August 2011: Jeddah Islamic Port (JIP) will award contracts for a parking area at a cost of SR500m, a power station costing SR109m and construction of government buildings at the port costing SR40m.The projects is expected to be completed by the middle of 2013, as part of Saudi Arabia's plan to increase capacity at its nine seaports by 2020. The authority will award contracts in September once it receives the funds from the finance ministry.
