Jordan, Iraq to sign education pact

21 November 2011: Jordan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ruwaida Maayteh met with Iraqi Minister of Science and Technology Abdel Karim al-Samarrai and discussed cooperation in various higher education areas.

The Iraqi minister presented a briefing on his ministry's tasks, especially in energy, information technology, telecommunications and industrial research. The ministers stressed the need to form a joint committee to discuss mechanisms of cooperation between the two countries.
