Kuwait plans construction of highways
25 August 2011: As part of its plans to become a commercial and financial hub in the region, Kuwait will construct highways worth $6.2bn (approx Rs 27,590 crore) over the next three and a half years. The ministry is currently designing highways that will be tendered in the coming three and a half years, one after the other, for a cost of KD1.7bn and a total length of 550 km (340 miles).
