LG to invest in Green New Business

26 September 2011:South Korea's LG Electronics will invest 8 trillion won ($6.83 billion) in green projects like electric vehicle parts, LED lighting and sewage treatment industries by 2015. The business conglomerate has clarified that it is aiming, from its new strategy titled "Green New Business", to generate 10 trillion ($8.5bn) won in revenues and create 10,000 new jobs through these investments.
