Major projects launched in Mena

14 December 2011: The projects having consolidated value over $82 billion (approx Rs.4,36,159 crore) have been launched in the first 10 months of this year in Middle East and North Africa (Mena).

Saudi Arabia has been the main driving force accounting for one third of the total projects. However, despite a general downturn across the globe, total projects planned and underway in the GCC remained stable. Across the Mena region, there has been a general drop in project pipelines and a rise in the number of delayed and cancelled projects.
