Nakheel plans townhouses to replace QE2 on Palm Jumeirah
29 September 2011: Nakheel commences work on Dubai project since the onset of the economic downturn, with a townhouse development on the Palm Jumeirah replacing plans to berth the QE2 ocean liner off the man-made island. The government of Dubai is developing an up-to-date modern cruise terminal. That will be a better environment. It will stay in Dubai. The QE2 is part of Dubai. The 102 beachfront town houses are to be located off the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah.
